The
large cylindrical shaped jaw permits you to clip onto the
headstock or tuning peg of a guitar or any instrument. The
jaw has padded ends to prevent damage or scratch the wood.
The TP-1 has an 8 foot / 2.44 M long haevy duty cord; users
can comfortably clip it on and not have to worry about
pulling the tuner down to the ground as is often the case
with standard clip-on pickups.
As shown
here with a flute the TP-1 tuner pick up clips on any
instrument and picks up the vibrations of the instrument
rather than its acoustic sound. The instrument is totally
isolated from any sound in the room. This allows tuning at
any time even during warm-ups!
